WINEMAKER COMMENTS: Traditional and trusted winemaking techniques, maintaining a controlled fermentation, and paired with cap pump-overs twice a day, allowed this wine to develop rich color, intense aromatics, and fruit-forward character. Aged in new and neutral French barriques for 22 months, the wine has developed to its full potential and now expresses wonderful balance in your glass. What truly sets this wine apart is its wonderful sense of place. TITAN 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon– Nancy's Vineyard Oak Knoll, Napa Valley

VINEYARD NOTES

Nancy’s Vineyard is in the heart of the Oak Knoll AVA of Napa Valley. The vines are all Clone 6 (ideal for the Napa Valley Floor) and range from 20 to 25 years of age. The vineyard is sustainably farmed using no animal products at any time (vegan) and leans on organic compounds such as Seaweed to avoid pesticides and other harmful chemicals.

OAK KNOLL DISTRICT AVA

The Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley AVA is at the southern end of the valley floor. Its proximity to the Ocean results in a cooler and more moderate climate, which leads to bold, iconic Napa Valley Cabernets that tend to be richer than wines made from other regions in the valley. We sourced the fruit for this Single Vineyard Cabernet from Nancy's Vineyard in Oak Knoll, one of the few remaining family-owned vineyards in the valley.

TASTING NOTES: Rich, Silky, Bold, Spicy, and complex. This is a bold but softer and more balanced expression of the iconic Napa Valley Cabernet. Aromas of cherry, lavender, and cocoa with flavors of cherry pie, black currant, spice cabinet and soft tannins.

WINEMAKER NOTES: Grapes are hand-picked at night for morning crush. Fermented on the skins for 21 days before pressing off the skins. Malolactic bacteria are added at pressing to facilitate malolactic fermentation. Minimal interaction with the wine as it ages until bottling.

BARREL PROGRAM: Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in 50% new French Oak and 50% neutral French oak for 26 months. The majority of barrels are Centre of France oak from various coopers.

TITAN 2023 PINOT NOIR – RICCI VINEYARD Carneros SOLD OUT

Winemaker Comments:
The cooler climate of the Carneros District with its fog and proximity to the Bay produces superior fruit with higher acidity and better balance. This release is typical of these fine traits with crisp acids, intense red fruit notes, and well layered medium body which helps to extend the palate. The finish is soft, crisp and pleasingly clean.

Tasting Notes:
Our Single Vineyard Pinot Noir series has quickly established itself as our most popular wine offering.

The 2023 vintage is our 2nd iteration of a blend of Pommard clone Pinot Noir and two signature Dijon clones, 777 and 667. Hence the name “Three Clones”. Strong, exuberant elements of cherry and strawberry shine through on this wine and it is highlighted with a layered complexity of spice, slightly tannic aromatics, and a graceful finish. With a certain level of rounded earthiness present, this Pinot Noir is the ideal homage to Carneros and its balanced embrace of beauty and refined ruggedness

Favorable weather conditions throughout the growing season, including a warm, dry summer and a mild harvest period, allowed the grapes to ripen evenly and develop complex flavors. The resulting wines exhibit a captivating balance of bright acidity and rich fruit characteristics, showcasing notes of cherry, raspberry, and subtle earthy undertones. Winemakers have praised the vintage for its depth and elegance, with many describing the tannins as velvety and well-integrated. Overall, the 2023 Carneros Pinot Noir is a standout, reflecting the unique terroir of the region and promising great aging potential for wine enthusiasts.

A word from Richard Cardoza, Proprietor about our 94 Point TITAN RESERVE

Having spent over two decades as a retailer in the vibrant wine industry from 1987 to 2011, traveling extensively to uncover the finest values for my clients, it was only natural for me to embark on a new journey in winemaking.

I am proud to introduce the newest member of the Cardoza family, the 94-point Titan Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, crafted with passion and expertise.

Since arriving in Napa Valley in 2016, I have collaborated with exceptional growers and winemakers, creating remarkable wines from prestigious single vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Oak Knoll. Our Titan single vineyard wines are nothing short of exquisite, but Napa wines are in the over $100 category and out of reach for most people's everyday enjoyment.

I was determined to make a wine that everyone could enjoy, a wine as good in the glass as any we had made but without the added cost of making wines from the highest-priced grapes in the country.

We sourced our TITAN Reserve from vineyards throughout California that feature climatic conditions, soils, and topography that are similar to our beloved Napa Valley and well-suited to growing great Cabernet Sauvignon.

The result? This is how The WineEnthusiast magazine described it when they rated it 94 Points!
