TITAN Wines - Bringing Friends and Family Together One Glass at a Time

From the Napa Valey with Love

From the Cardoza Family

Wine has been with us since Mythological Greek Gods first roamed the earth between 4000 and 6000 years ago. In Greek Mythology, the first Gods, Oranos (the sky) and Gaia (the earth) gave birth to the Titans, who ruled the earth until clashing with one of their best-known offspring, Zeus, the God of Mount Olympus.

Noting the endurance of great, iconic Napa Valley wines, not only their prominence in the marketplace but how well they age in the cellar, the label of our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons depicts the image of one of the best-known Titans, Prometheus, for his immense strength and endurance. We hope you enjoy our heavenly wines as much as we enjoy making them for you and your friends and family to savor. You will find them multi-dimensional, with many flavors imparted by the different noble grape varieties that flourish here and the diverse terroir of the 16 AVAs that exist in the valley. If you happen to find yourself in Napa Valley in the future, please book a visit to taste with us. We love to share our story and our wines!

REMEMBER THE TITAN

TITAN 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon– Knollwood Vineyard Oak Knoll, Napa Valley

VINTAGE: 2022

APPELLATION: 100% Napa Valley Oak Knoll District

VINEYARD: 100% KNOLLWOOD VINEYARD

COMPOSITION: Cabernet Sauvignon 100%

WINEMAKER: Chris Corley

WINEMAKER COMMENTS: Traditional and trusted winemaking techniques, maintaining a controlled fermentation, and paired with cap pump-overs twice a day, allowed this wine to develop rich color, intense aromatics, and fruit-forward character. Aged in new and neutral French barriques for 22 months, the wine has developed to its full potential and now expresses wonderful balance in your glass. What truly sets this wine apart is its wonderful sense of place. Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignons often possess a captivating combination of richness and restraint, and this bottling exemplifies that duality. It's a wine that speaks of warm days and cool nights, of sun-drenched vineyards and the refreshing bay breezes that shape them. With each sip, you're transported to the heart of Napa Valley, experiencing the unique character of this exceptional appellation.

Growing up in the heart of The Napa Valley, Chris Corley began learning winemaking through his father Jay Corley. Spending his high school summers in the cellar at Monticello Vineyards, he chose to focus on all things winemaking and winery operations and would in time, assume title of head winemaker at Monticello. Through thousands of visitors of the winery, to scoring dozens of 90+ point ratings each year, Monticello has become a breath of fresh air amidst The Napa Valley.

Although the successes are celebratory, Chris always looks to the future, as the winery is celebrating their 50 year anniversary in 2020, he is always strategically thinking about what clones to isolate for the next reserve or where to plant the next plot of Chardonnay. Chris also takes part in classes to increase his wine knowledge skillset and to continue to expand his wine education. Keeping a streamlined and consistent approach to the winemaking process, he maintains the same philosophy his father put forth since the beginning of Monticello - creating great wines they've become known for, and resisting the need to tailor yearly harvests to industry trends.

Visiting the winery, you can find Chris playing one of the two grand pianos on the property (one is tucked away in the bubble lounge and the other is nestled amongst barrels in the production area of the winery) or enjoying a bottle of Corley State Lane in the wine cellar after hours. On the weekends, you can find him snowboarding or scuba diving in Monterey with his wife and two kids.

A word from Richard Cardoza, Proprietor TITAN Wine Company

Having spent over two decades as a retailer in the vibrant wine industry from 1987 to 2011, traveling extensively to uncover the finest values for my clients, it was only natural for me to embark on a new journey in winemaking.

I am proud to introduce the newest member of the Cardoza family, the 94-point Titan Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, crafted with passion and expertise.

Since arriving in Napa Valley in 2016, I have collaborated with exceptional growers and winemakers, creating remarkable wines from prestigious single vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Oak Knoll. Our Titan single vineyard wines are nothing short of exquisite, but Napa wines are in the over $100 category and out of reach for most people's everyday enjoyment.

I was determined to make a wine that everyone could enjoy, a wine as good in the glass as any we had made but without the added cost of making wines from the highest-priced grapes in the country.

We sourced our TITAN Reserve from vineyards throughout California that feature climatic conditions, soils, and topography that are similar to our beloved Napa Valley and well-suited to growing great Cabernet Sauvignon.

The result?  This is how The WineEnthusiast magazine described it when they rated it 94 Points!

Winemaking is an Art

Experience the essence of Napa Valley through our meticulously crafted wines. Each bottle is a masterpiece, showcasing the unique terroir of select single vineyards within Rutherford, Oakville, St Helena, Oak Knoll, and Spring Mountain. Indulge in the luxury of TITAN Wines and savor the flavors that define the diverse AVA's of the Napa Valley.

THE NAPA VALLEY

The creation of our beautiful Valley dates back 24 - 145 million years, as cataclysmic events, including large land mass shifts and volcanoes created the shape of the valley and the fertile soils. We give homage to the Titans and their direct descendant Dionysus, who later became the God of the grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, vegetation, ecstasy and theatre. We believe that without the great ancestry of the Titans, Dionysus would have possibly been a bit more one dimensional.

The Napa Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in Napa County in California's Wine Country. Napa Valley is considered one of the premier wine regions in the world. Records of commercial wine production in the region date back to the nineteenth century, but premium wine production dates back only to the 1960s.The combination of Mediterranean climate, geography and geology of the region are conducive to growing quality wine grapes. The wine industry in Napa Valley came to prominence by the results of the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, where blind tastings compared Napa Valley as capable of producing the best quality wine – equal to that of Old World wine regions such as Bordeaux and Burgundy in. France. Napa Valley is now a major enotourism destination.Blending fruit from estate vineyards and top Napa Valley growers, our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons embody the complexity of the valley, while offering a seamless balance between fruit, oak and tannins.

Our Winemaking Pilosophy

We take pride in our meticulous winemaking process. From hand-selecting the finest grapes to carefully aging the wines in French oak barrels, we strive to create exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Napa Valley. Each bottle is a true reflection of our passion and dedication to the art of winemaking.
